If you’ve decided that you want to have a destination wedding on the sunny beaches of Florida, there are still many options to choose from. Florida has hundreds of beaches total almost one thousand miles of sandy shores altogether. It may be difficult to narrow it down but there are many beaches in this sunny state that have become especially popular locations for weddings. 10.) Captiva Island

Dr. Stephen Leatherman, also infamously known as “The Beach Doctor” has given this gorgeous location the title of “Most Romantic Beach” two years in a row. One of the most notorious things about this beachside location is the amount of shells that can be found along the white, sandy beach. During the wedding, the bride, groom, and guests can enjoy the all-encompassing view, along with tropical foliage.

9.) Little Palm Island

This beach is perfect for those who truly wish to find a location that is isolated and intimate. Tucked away in the Lower Keys, one can only get to this island by boat or seaplane. If you wish to stay here after the wedding, your only choice is the Little Palm Island Resort and Spa. Be sure that you want to stay “away from it all” before you book your room, though. True to island fashion, there are no televisions, radio clocks, or telephones in the guest rooms. It’s well worth it though when you consider that in exchange, you receive some of the most peacefully quiet moments with your new spouse and a number of fabulous spa treatments.

8.) Seaside Beach

Seaside is one of the most romantic places in Florida that you can visit. It is in this little town that you will find actual white-picket fences, wood cottages, and narrow streets. Anywhere you want to go is available by foot and that includes a picturesque beach. Seaside Beach is only for those couples that have been envisioning their picture-perfect wedding on the beach, complete with white-picket fences, for their entire lives.

7.) Sanibel Island

Sanibel Island is known to be one of the beaches in Florida that is littered with shells. For those that crave a beach that has been left in its natural state, Sanibel Island is what you’re looking for! Not only are there shells everywhere you turn, the sand that lies in its natural state and the gorgeous foliage make this a wonderful place for birds to take up residence and for sea turtles to nest. When holding your wedding at Sanibel Island, these creatures will make great guests!

6.) Amelia Island

This is truly one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and is an optimum location for any beach wedding. The sand dunes on the beach that can reach heights of forty feet will make for a perfect background for any wedding and the island also offers horseback riding. Ride in on horseback to your own ceremony, sit on top of the horses while exchanging vows, or ride off on horseback as a newlywed couple – the choice is truly yours on Amelia Island!
