Florida Weddings
Orlando is by far, Florida’s most popular spot for visitors
during all seasons of the year. With so many attractions, things to
do, fine restaurants, and great culture, it’s no wonder that
thousands of people seek out this city as their number one vacation
spot every year. So it should also come as no surprise that this is
a top spot for couples to hold their destination weddings. There are
many to choose from and to help you narrow down your choices, the
top five Orlando wedding locations are listed below.
5. Wyndham Orlando Resort
This old-fashioned villa is snuggled right in the centre of
Orlando. The vast gardens and the charming lagoons certainly add to
the resort’s romantic atmosphere. With all the major attraction such
as Walt Disney World, Epcot Centre, Universal Studios, and Sea World
nearby this is also a great place to honeymoon and will offer plenty
for the guests who are staying for a short trip as well. The resort
offers a wedding coordinator, along with plenty of wedding staff
that will ensure that the focus is kept on you and that every detail
is done just as you want it.
There are plenty of areas on the resort to perform a wedding
ceremony. The most popular is The Grand Lawn, which features the
main fountain off to the side. The Promenade Area, Lagoons, and Palm
Grove can also provide beautiful backdrops to a wedding ceremony. If
you prefer the wedding be indoors, or want to have a back-up plan in
case of bad weather, the Convention Centre is always ready and the
ceremony can be taken in there.
4. Mission Inn Golf and Resort
Mission Inn is a fabulous golf fairyland. This resort is a
beautiful Spanish design and provides guests with maximum privacy.
Tucked away in Central Florida, it is close to the attractions but
not in such close proximity that you will need to deal with the
traffic, noise, and other inconveniences of huge tourist
attractions.
And Mission Inn has made themselves very comfortable with
weddings as well. They have special wedding packages, a wedding
coordinator, beautiful menus, impeccable catering, and anything else
that you would need to make your dream come true. Although there are
many areas of the property that can be used for a wedding ceremony,
there are two that are most popular. The first is Plaza de la
Fontana, which features a balcony that overlooks the luscious golf
course. There is also the Lakeside Pavilion, which has a gorgeous
view of Lake Harris. Either location is sure to provide the perfect
setting for a perfect day.
3. Orlando Museum of Art
If you’re looking for something truly unique for your wedding day
and you want to get away from the resorts and beaches, Orlando
Museum of Art is the perfect place. The museum has many different
facilities that are perfect for holding small, intimate
get-togethers or parties as large as 1,000 people. They are all
beautifully decorated with dark, cherry wood, mirrored ceiling, and
marble floors. The museum will also provide a list of the finest
catering companies in Orlando to help make your day perfect. Hold
the ceremony or dance your heart out at the reception in front of
some of the finest art available and you will truly have that
one-of-a-kind wedding.
2. Windermere Country Club
Windermere has everything you could ever want for your wedding.
Combine a modern, 22 thousand square foot clubhouse with elegance,
menus from the finest chefs in all of Florida, warm hospitality, and
views that are almost as beautiful as the memories that you will
make here and you will see what Windermere Country Club is all
about. Hold your ceremony in one of their gorgeous indoor
facilities, or take it out onto the green. Finish off the day with
photographs taken on the balcony or with Lake Crescent and Lake
Roberts as a background. Whatever way you do it, Windermere is sure
to make your wedding day something truly special!
1. Walt Disney World
You can’t talk about the top Orlando wedding locations without
mentioning Walt Disney World. Holding your wedding at the famous
tourist attraction is all about the choices you have. A couple can
hold their nuptials in front of cascading waterfalls, or they may
take a Disney Cruise to an exotic island for the day and hold the
ceremony there. Get married in front of Cinderella’s castle, and
then take a ride in her glass coach. You can even choose to have a
character from a Disney story show up and play a special part in
your wedding! You can even choose between a traditional wedding
gown, of your choice of course, or a princess gown. Getting married
at Walt Disney World is not only a ton of fun but it is very
romantic as well!
