Wedding Hair Styles with a Veil
Veils can be worn with any number of hairstyles, it simply means
that you have one more item to consider when choosing your wedding
day style.
Updos
and Veils:
• If you are wearing a longer veil you'll want to consider an updo
that has good staying power to hold up the extra weight of the veil.
• Consider a veil that has a comb that can be slipped in underneath
your updo. This creates a dramatic effect with the veil cascading
out the back.
• French Twist updo's look great with all veil lengths.
Leaving
your Hair Down with a Veil:
• If you want to have your hair down, make sure that your veil is
longer than your hair.
• If you are wearing a very long veil hairstyles with a lot of curl
or body can be ruined by the weight of the veil so you may want to
consider a more streamlined style.
Half
up, half down:
For many people this is the way to get the best of both worlds. When
using this style consider all the tips given in the updo and hair
down section.
Short Hair Cuts:
•
With shorter hair you may want to consider a short veil. They
highlight your hair.
• Short veils aren't the only option though veils of any length can
look great, you just may want to consider a ring of flowers, pretty
comb, hairpins with decorations or a tiara to dress up your
hairstyle.
• There are some veils that come with attachable headbands. This is
a great option for many shorter hairstyles because it helps keep the
hair back and in place.
Accessories:
Accessories like tiaras, jewels, barrettes, combs, hairpins and
clips can all add that extra sparkle to any hair do, but with veils
you will definitely want to consider using these accessories
sparingly. Too much in you hair could detract from your face.
