Making Lasting Memories and Food
A wedding is truly a special time in the bride and groom’s life. A
wedding is a life moment that will be in a treasured memory for the
rest of the person’s life, from the day the groom proposes to the
day the bride says I do. This is the magical time period that is
setting the stage for the rest of their lives together and it is
important that as it prepares for that curtain to be drawn up it is
doing so in a way that is equally elegant and magical.
That is why it is so important that everything is designed with the
bride and groom in mind. There is a profound importance in the finer
traditions that withstand the test of time, however the ultimate
truth regarding the nature of a wedding is that they all should be
centered around the two people for which it is happening. It needs
to represent who they are and serve as a platform for their fondest
memories.
When it comes to the food that you serve for both the wedding
reception and the wedding itself, it is important that this
understanding is maintained. Caviar for one couple may be the
perfect match, whereas basic finger foods are equally as
appropriate, and not vice versa.
There are an endless supply of recipes and dish ideas and again the
main idea is to ensure that the bride and groom’s wishes and
interests are equally followed. If they do enjoy caviar, then try a
crisp potato made wafer, called a gaufrette, and topped with smoked
salmon, is a perfect fit. It can have a bit of appropriate sauce
made from dill and crème fraiche added for additional taste. This is
light but tasty idea for a delicate but elegant finger food.
For those who don’t want
caviar
and other more high dollar dishes, there are many simple recipes
that can complement the style and tastes of the couple. This can
include favorites such as using cutter round crackers as a crust
inside a muffin wrapper. You can fill the wrapper with quiche and
bake it. You can also make cream cheese and green olive filled
cheese balls as well, and then roll them in nuts that have been
crushed. Add a little parsley or other toppings to give it some
style.
Ultimately the main thing to remember is that in the end it doesn’t
have to be caviar to be elegant, and it doesn’t have to be simple to
be easy. The main focus needs to be on the happy couple. This is
their day and those who are helping make it special are
participating in crafting a lifelong memory for those that they care
about.
