Unique to Wisconsin Wedding Packages: Get Married in the Spring on
the Great Wedding Train!
If you are looking for something truly unique for your spring
wedding in Wisconsin, there’s no better way to do it than the Great
Wedding Train! This train is not only unique to Wisconsin, there is
nothing like it in the entire country! It is here that you will find
the truest replica of a chapel car and the wedding coordinator that
is provided is an invaluable help! Even with the same location,
there are many unique ways to get married on the train with the five
different packages that they offer!
1.) Stationery Package
This package is for those that don’t like to travel. The chapel car,
called Everlasting, is parked beside Spooner Depot, a beautiful
historical site. If you’re planning on getting married on a Friday
or Saturday, the car needs to be reserved at any time before noon
but the car is available any day of the year. Although this is the
least expensive way to get married on the Great Wedding Train, there
are many items included:
• One hour in the chapel car
• A bridal bouquet comprised of silk flowers
• A silk boutonniere for the groom
• Unity candle
• Basic photos of your ceremony, placed on CD for your convenience
• Customized tickets that display your name and the date of the
wedding
• Wedding programs that are customized for your ceremony
• Music (played from a CD) for your ceremony
• A wedding consultant to help you plan the ceremony
• Seating for up to 85 guests
2.) Basic Wedding Ceremony
This package allows you to have your ceremony on the train while it
is moving at a slow pace through Wisconsin woods, which are
especially beautiful during the spring! There are two different
options available with this package. You can choose to travel for 2
½ hours on a round-trip to Springbook, or you can choose a 1 ½ hour
ceremony that will take you to the Namekagon River. Not only do you
have full use of the Everlasting Chapel, but the Arrowhead car is
also available so you can enjoy your reception while you enjoy the
trip! Also included in this package:
• Seating for up to 20 guests
• Bouquet for the bride and boutonniere for the groom
• Unity candle
• Picture CD
• Customized tickets that display your name and the date of the
wedding
• Music (played from a CD) for your ceremony
• A wedding consultant to help you plan the ceremony
• Refreshments including coffee, lemonade, and a sheet wedding cake
3.) Wedding Ceremony Plus Package
This package includes again the use of the Everlasting chapel car as
well as the Arrowhead car but also includes an hors d’oeuvres
package. This package allows for up to twenty guests and features
all of the inclusions as the basic wedding ceremony package but with
the Conductors Hors D’oeuvres package as well.
4.) Wedding Lunch Train
This experience on the Great Wedding Train includes all of the
standard inclusions listed in the Basic Wedding Ceremony, but also
includes lunch. The day will begin with the guests (which can
include up to forty) being seated in the Everlasting chapel car.
After the ceremony, everyone will be escorted into the Arrowhead
reception car to feast on a wonderful lunch. You can choose from the
fine selections of: Chicken Cordon Bleu, Roast Beef, Baked Ham,
Lemon Breast of Chicken, or Honey Glazed Pork Chops. All lunch
choices include a dinner salad, rolls, and two beverages of the
guest’s choice. After lunch, sheet wedding cake will be served as
you and your guests make your way back to Spooner from Springbook.
5.) Wedding Dinner Train
Choosing the Wedding Dinner Train package is just slightly different
than that of the Wedding Lunch Train package. The choices of menu
remain the same but rice or potato and vegetables are added. And
instead of the trip to Springbrook, the train takes you on a
slightly longer journey to Bean Creek. Sheet wedding cake will also
be served for the guests but the bride and groom receive their own
special cake to enjoy together. Immediately after the ceremony,
there is also a champagne toast and the crystal glasses are to be
kept by the bride and groom! And as another keepsake, the bride and
groom are also given the silver cake servers!
Although the train is available every day of the year, there are
certain dates and times for some of the excursions the train takes.
And if none of the above packages suit your needs, you can also
custom-make your own package for a truly unique way to celebrate
your spring Wisconsin wedding!
